Dimitar Uzunov is a Partner at Entrea Capital and focuses on deal origination and overall management of execution processes across all industry sectors. Dimitar has close to 15 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and investment management in the United Kingdom and Bulgaria.

Prior to joining Entrea Capital, Dimitar worked as an equity analyst at Headstart Advisers, a London-based hedge fund with $600 million of assets under management at the time. He invested across global capital markets and followed several investment strategies (fund of funds, long/short, global macro and others). Dimitar worked at Headstart Advisers’ Special Situations sub-fund, analyzing and recommending investment opportunities in European blue chip equities based on catalyst events such as M&A, spin-offs, IPOs, insiders’ trading, divestments and more. In addition, Dimitar also monitored Headstart Advisers’ structured loans portfolio and analyzed risk/return profiles of clients as well as overall portfolio return.

Dimitar holds a master’s degree in International Finance from Kingston University (London) and a BA degree in Business Administration from Hult International Business School (London). Based on his high academic achievements, Dimitar was selected to give the salutatorian speech at the Hult graduation ceremony. He speaks English and basic Russian in addition to his native Bulgarian.

Dimitar spends his leisure time hiking and trekking in Bulgaria’s beautiful mountains with his family. In addition, Dimitar is also a fan of nature photography and enjoys playing basketball.
